Spark Collective Action

Joining Forces for Children is a collective impact initiative. We unite more than 50 organizations and 200 members — spanning school systems, healthcare providers, social service agencies, early childhood programs, home visitation services, and community organizations — across Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. Led by the Mayerson Center for Safe and Healthy Children at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, we work through two interconnected strategies. We shift systems, not just individuals — aligning organizations and institutions to create environments where children and families can thrive.

Cross-Sector Collaboration:

We convene partners from education, healthcare, social services, early childhood, law enforcement, and community organizations to share resources and develop unified strategies.

Advocacy & Policy:

We address root causes of childhood adversity by advocating for policies that promote protective factors and equitable access to support.

Systems Transformation:

We work with partner organizations to integrate trauma-informed, resiliencebuilding practices into strategic plans, policies, and daily operations — from Cincinnati Public Schools to Cincinnati Recreation Commission to healthcare systems.
